They are both designed for medium-format film: one takes 6×6 images, and the other (shown above) takes panoramic 6×18 images. That is wider – both in aspect ratio terms and absolute size – than the Hasselblad XPan and even the Fuji GX17.

My idea is to make a 16"x16" camera for paper negatives with a 8x10 ground glass and spring back to accept 8x10 film and paper. I can make a back with the 8x10 spring back in it for focusing and shooting 8x10 then remove that back and replace it with the homemade film carrier for shooting 16x16.
