I think I might have finally figured it out. For the majority of this book, I planned to rate it around three stars.

Charlie är en s.k Wallflower som syftar på att han är en utomstående person. Men The Perks of Being a Wallflower har ändå fått ett tacksamt upplägg, där det trots de ganska många rollfigurerna sällan blir rörigt och där man hela tiden hänger med i vad som händer. Det är visserligen inte alltid man kommer ihåg vem som heter vad, men det förblir ändå engagerande då allting skildrats på ett träffsäkert och finstämt sätt som lär tilltala många. The Perks of Being A Wallflower är en underlig bok, skriven ur en femtonårig killes perspektiv. Charlie, som han kallar sig själv men inte heter, berättar sin historia i form av brev till en fullkomligt okänd och irrelevant person. Charlie ger sig själv skulden för fasterns död. Ã…ret innan han börjar high School skjuter hans bästa och ända vän, Michel, sig själv och Charlie fÃ¥r en tuff tid. "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" ger ett äkta och varmt porträtt av hur det är att vara ung, blyg, förvirrad, kär – ja allt det där som här ungdomen till. Charlie ska precis ta sig an sin första dag på Highschool och han vet redan i förväg att det inte kommer att bli en lätt upplevelse för en kille som honom.

Men boken är ändå läsvärd. Charlies sätt att se på världen är annorlunda. Det är härliga karaktärer och en bra  Stephen Chbosky har filmatiserat sin egen bok och har fått till en osedvanligt välspelad ungdomsfilm som lyckas beröra allvarliga ämnen utan att någonsin tappa  Jag har sett filmen The Perks of Being a Wallflower två gånger, och var intresserad av att läsa boken.

Hela boken är uppbyggd av brev som huvudpersonen Charlie skickar till någon, vem vet man inte. I dessa skriver han om sitt liv, sin familj och

The Perks of Being a Wall Flower blev framröstad som en av de populäraste ungdomsböckerna genom tiderna. Den kom på 16:e plats och jag tycker verkligen att den förtjänar sin placering i listan. Har ni inte läst den än så tycker jag att ni ska plocka upp boken direkt! Ps.

Min make gav mig den i julklapp. ”Wallflower” är en gränsöverskridande och mångfacetterad engelska utgåvan av boken med originaltiteln ”The perks of being a wallflower”. Han bor idag i Los Angeles och arbetar som manusförfattare, regissör och producent för film och tv. Wallflower ( The Perks of Being a Wallflower i  Charlie is a freshman.
