Cross-training is any workout that complements your normal routine, helping to even out potential muscle imbalances or weaknesses. It ultimately enhances your fitness level while reducing your likelihood of injury. All good things, right? But that doesn't answer the question about which cross-training workout is right for you. In weeks 2, 3 and 4 of the plan, the Tuesday session is a three-mile workout, so try to complete that faster with each passing week to show off your improving fitness – it will be a great motivator!
